North East Property Auctions

Buying & Selling Property at Auction in the North East

The North East, from the Scottish borders, down the Yorkshire counties, is littered with historical towns and coastal scenery; a lot of which has been generally unspoilt due to having less visitors than other areas. It is home to the beautiful Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is a stunning coastal town situated close to the Scottish border, as well as the infamous Newcastle nightlife, Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Cathedral, The Angel of the North, and much, much more. Due to its areas of natural beauty, and places of interest, the North East has a thriving housing market and is bursting with exciting property auctions.

Selling a Property at Auction in the North East

Whether you have a residential property, commercial property, land or development opportunity that you would like to sell at auction, Blundells Property Auctions can help you in providing the fastest route to a successful sale.

If you’re interested in selling your property at auction, or you’re unsure of what the best options are for you, you can contact us to arrange a free market appraisal in which our experienced valuers will arrange a visit to your property to provide you with an accurate valuation. They will also discuss the most appropriate options for you and your property.

If you then decide to sell your property at auction with us, you will need to formally instruct us of this and provide a realistic reserve and guide price for your property, based on the valuation provided. At this stage you will also be required to pay an auction entry fee.

Once this has been paid, and the information provided, we will start to promote your property for our next available auction. This will include your property being listed in our latest catalogue, which is typically distributed to 10,000 investors, as well as being promoted via our website and other third-party property sites such as RightMove.

You will need to instruct a solicitor, who will be able to produce the full conditions for the sale of your property. They will also manage the sale through to the completion, should it be successful.

Bidders are able to bid for your property prior to the auction day, which we will notify you of should you receive any, as well as offering our advice regarding the offer. You have the option of whether you would like to accept offers, or not, and this is completely at your discretion.

What if my property doesn’t sell at auction?

As bidders are also able to make offers after the auction day, we will continue to market your property for up to 8 weeks following an auction, if your property did not sell.
