Summer 2019 has been a sizzler!

No more so than our July sale which saw 2.4million pounds of property exchanging hands in around an hour and a sold rate on the day of 74%. With post auction sales after the auction this is now closer to 95% and in fact we have 0 lots left from any previous sales!

Not in the auction rooms? Parkside & Edgecumbe a former multiple bedroom care home in Rotherham achieved a whopping £167,000 above guide when is sold for £317,000. We also had two fabulous semi detached houses on Grange Crescent Road smash there guides and sell for £250,000 and £256,000 respectively.

Blundells also matched our sizzling success when intrepid duo of David Green and Michael Clayton raised a whopping £1200 for Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity on the UK’s hottest ever day with their Tour De Blundells!!!! The challenge involved attempting to cycle to all our Blundells branches across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire during a working day. Setting off from our City Centre office on Campo Lane at 9.00am and to make it to all our 10 branches, finishing at Crystal Peaks at 5.00pm. The boys didn’t let us down!! They set off bright and early from Sheffield City Centre riding the full 80 miles or 154km in soaring 30+ degree heat, they checked in at all our branches en route for refreshments and encouragement, completed 7:18 hours of riding time in the saddle, with average speed of 21.2km/h!! Well done David and Mick – true hero status has been achieved!

Don't forget if you can't attend the auction on auction day and you still want to bid we can arrange telephone and proxy bids for you, head to the website for more information or give us a call to arrange. (We cannot set up telephone bids on the day of the auction, you need to have advised us well in advance so please don’t leave it until the last minute, we do have rules and regulations and being the good law abiding citizens we are we will adhere to them!)

Also a polite reminder that we now require any parties wanting to bid in the auction to pre-register. They can either do that direct with Blundells or Bridgfords/Frank Innes/Spencers/Dixons/Bairstow Eves office before the date of the auction or on the auction day itself. On auction day you will not be allowed to bid on any of the lots unless we have seen all your ID (photo and proof of address),  proof of funds and solicitors details, so please take time to ensure you bring everything with you on the 18th and arrive early to be sure you register in time!! Doors open at 11am...

Myself and the Blundells Auction team were delighted with the July results, auctions have totally bucked the trend in comparison to house sales via private treaty having huge appeal to buyer and great seller certainty with a quicker time frame. We are already taking instructions for the 30th October sale so make sure you register on our mailing list online so not to avoid the early release previews. For those thinking of selling if you have a property, land or investment to sell and require an appraisal as to its suitability to be sold at auction please me know.
